It is one of the most deeply rooted beliefs (actually, "unbeliefs"), that God is more with some people than with others. We even make all kinds of conditions by which we explain why He is; some are more holy, or more prayerful or something. As if the presence of God depended upon us! The promise of His presence is unconditional. From the beginning God said "I will never leave you nor forsake you". He said it to Joshua and it is repeated 1300 years later in Hebrews (13:5). God is with us not because we are good or when we have great faith He is there. No such terms are laid down. He is with us because He has committed Himself to it, irrevocably, as it were "for better for worse, for richer for poorer, in sickness and in health" "I your maker am your husband" (Isaiah 54,5, He said) REINHARD BONNKE
